Former Israeli space security chief, Haim Eshed, sent shockwaves around the globe by claiming that aliens have already arrived on Earth and are in contact with the US and Israeli governments. Eshed also claimed that the US President Donald Trump was close to revealing the information but was specifically asked by the Extraterrestrials to refrain from it.
The interview first appeared in the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronot last Friday and gained further attention when the story was published in English by the Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.
Eshed claimed that the creatures are just as curious about human beings and want to understand the “fabric of the universe”.
He also talked of a cooperation agreement between the species and the U.S government.
“There’s an agreement between the US government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here. They, too, are researching and trying to understand the whole fabric of the universe, and they want us as helpers.”
“There’s an underground base in the depths of Mars, where their representatives are, and also our American astronauts,” Eshed is reported to have said.
Eshed further added that the aliens won’t come out in public because they think that human beings aren’t prepared to handle the news yet. They fear that the news will cause “mass hysteria,” and it’s better to wait until “humanity can evolve and reach a stage where we will understand what space and spaceships are”.
Haim Eshed is currently a professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics. During his time as the Space Security Chief, he oversaw numerous Israeli satellites into space. He says that he’s only claiming this now because attitudes are changing, and people seem more receptive to these facts nowadays.
“If I had come up with what I’m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized,” he told Yediot. “Today, they’re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I’ve received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad.”
The claims have come at the back end of a year in which there was a lot of speculation over the existence of UFOs. In June, Donald Trump claimed that he had heard “very interesting” things about Roswell, the New Mexico city known for an alleged UFO event in 1947.
“I won’t talk to you about what I know about it, but it’s very interesting,” Trump said at the time.
In late April, the Department of Defense released three declassified videos that showed US navy pilots encountering what appear to be unidentified flying objects. The release cleared up any misconceptions about the authenticity of the videos. However, the department did say that “the aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as ‘unidentified'”.
Stories about the existence of aliens are nothing new but the comments by Haim Eshed have gained credibility because of his repute and the number of years he spent as the chief of Israeli Space Security. Neither the Pentagon nor Donald Trump has commented on the matter so far.
